Job Title: Aluminum, Glazing, and Metal Works Technician
Job Description: As an Aluminum, Glazing, and Metal Works Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing aluminum, glass, and metal structures in various projects. This includes but is not limited to windows, doors, curtain walls, façades, and other related products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of aluminum, glazing, and metal works according to project requirements and industry standards
- Interpret technical drawings and schematics to determine specifications and measurements
- Use hand and power tools to cut, shape, and fabricate materials to fit specific project requirements
- Ensure that all work is carried out safely and efficiently, adhering to relevant codes and regulations
- Collaborate with project managers and other team members to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition, reporting any issues or malfunctions to the supervisor
- Attend training sessions and stay up-to-date with new technologies and industry developments
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in aluminum, glazing, and metal works installation and repair
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools for cutting, shaping, and fabricating materials
- Knowledge of relevant codes and regulations related to aluminum, glazing, and metal works installation and repair
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Valid driver’s license and own transportation
