Job Title: Heavy Duty Driver

Job Purpose: The Heavy Duty Driver is responsible for safely delivering uplift products, either in cylinders or in bulk, to customers’ locations. The driver ensures the proper handling and upkeep of the assigned vehicle. Heavy Duty Driver Jobs in Dubai

Principal Accountabilities:

1. Operations: Heavy Duty Driver Jobs in Dubai

• Cylinder Movements: Properly loads and stacks correct sizes and quantities of empty, filled, or new cylinders as per documents. Safely transports the cylinders while observing traffic rules. Checks cylinders for defects as per procedure when collecting them from suppliers.
• Bulk Deliveries: Familiarizes themselves with various customer details such as customer name, location, facilities, product, and minimum quantity requirements. Follows delivery instructions from the Foreman regarding delivery sequence, product quantity, and specific instructions. Adheres to laid down procedures for routine and non-routine bulk deliveries and reports any abnormalities. Ensures the correct product quantity during delivery and obtains customer’s acknowledgement.

2. Vehicle Usage & Maintenance: Heavy Duty Driver Jobs in Dubai

• Vehicle Inspection: Inspects the condition of the assigned vehicle and required accessories. Maintains the truck log according to the company’s procedures. Ensures proper and efficient usage of the vehicle and performs basic cleaning of the cabin and windshield before each trip.
• Reporting: Reports any abnormalities, damages, or minor breakdowns promptly. Requests assistance for major breakdowns as soon as possible. Performs basic vehicle maintenance tasks, such as adding oil, fuel, and radiator fluid or performing minor repairs. Checks vehicles before driving to ensure mechanical safety and emergency equipment is in good working order.

3. General: Heavy Duty Driver Jobs in Dubai

• Familiarization with Routes: Acquires knowledge of all UAE Emirates routes. Maintains awareness of the UAE driving laws and road restrictions.
• Additional Duties: Performs other assigned duties as required.

4. Environment, Health, Safety, and Quality:

• Reporting Hazards: Reports workplace hazards to the Shift Supervisor or Plant Manager. Participates in fire drills and other emergency procedures. Takes appropriate emergency measures when required.
• Policy and Procedures: Familiarizes themselves with the Company’s Environment, Health & Safety Policy, Procedures, Regulations, and Objectives related to their area of responsibility. Ensures effective implementation of these policies. Monitors and reviews work to ensure it is performed safely and environmentally sound.
• Defensive Driving: Understands the importance of defensive driving and the hazards of incidents. Follows appropriate safety procedures when transporting dangerous goods.
