Responsibilities: Hse Jobs in Oman

 

  1. HSE Implementation and Documentation:
    • Familiarize yourself with the client’s HSE procedures and requirements, ensuring adherence throughout the project.
    • Assume full responsibility for implementing HSE practices and maintaining all HSE documentation on-site, as per RAY PDO requirements.
    • Maintain accurate records of all HSE statistics for the project and track progress to identify areas for improvement.
  2. Support and Assistance:
    • Provide assistance and guidance to all site members regarding HSE queries and concerns.
    • Enhance the HSE awareness of the entire workforce through regular communication and training initiatives.
    • Follow up on compliance with the monitoring plan and advise site personnel on adhering to client requirements.
  3. Reporting and Compliance:
    • Prepare HEMP (Hazard and Effects Management Process) Risk Assessments for projects and review them periodically for any changes.
    • Develop and maintain a schedule for weekly and monthly site visit inspections to monitor HSE compliance and performance.
    • Prepare and submit weekly and monthly HSE performance measurement reports to the HSE Manager and HSE Team Lead.
  4. Meetings and Communication:
    • Maintain records of HSE meetings and ensure that routine HSE meetings take place as scheduled.
    • Actively participate in incident investigations, including accidents, incidents, near misses, and first aid cases.
    • Create HSE alerts and bulletins and conduct awareness sessions to promote a culture of safety among employees.
  5. Auditing and Training:
    • Conduct frequent site visits to audit, inspect, and provide training and guidance on HSE implementation.
    • Prepare and maintain documentation for close-out, including audit logs, non-conformance reports, action tracking registers, training records, and incident logs.
    • Actively participate in HSE documentation implementation audits and corrective action plans.

Qualifications:

  • HSE Qualification: NEBOSH (IGC), IOSH Managing Safety
  • Skills/Abilities: Excellent communication skills with a minimum of 5 years of experience as an HSE Supervisor, preferably with 2-3 years in Oil & Gas projects, preferably in PDO projects.
  • Familiarity with electrical construction activities.
  • Ability to deliver HSE presentations and training specific to the project.
  • Strong assistance and guidance skills to identify risk factors and environmental impact, contributing to the development of an integrated Health, Safety, and Environment Management Program.
  • Experience in incident investigation, determining root causes, and implementing recommendations for prevention and control.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Fluent in English and Arabic communication, with additional proficiency in Hindi/Urdu considered a plus.
  • Possession of a PDO driving license is an advantage.
  • Positive and optimistic nature with a quick learning ability.
  • Effective leadership qualities and the ability to motivate team members and provide continuous on-the-job training for enhanced efficiency.
