As a Café Assistant, you will maintain top-notch hospitality and fresh counter standards throughout the trading day for both customers and colleagues. Your role will also involve ensuring a safe and legal work environment.

- Uphold excellent Hospitality and Fresh Counter standards throughout the day.
- Utilize the Ready to Trade Checklist and product specification checklist to maintain opening standards.
- Display products according to visual display standards and ensure maintenance at all times.
- Follow the ‘Clean As You Go’ principle for kit, counters, and seating areas.
- Log equipment failures as per the provided checklist.
- Prepare products for customers, focusing on presentation, quality, and efficiency.
- Maintain high standards of personal and food hygiene.
- Be aware of sales targets and use this knowledge to drive additional sales.
- Use product knowledge to assist customers with their purchase, including product location, newness, nutritional content, and how it differs from competitors’ products.
- Promote deals and offers, upsell, and offer perfect partner products.
- Replenish products throughout the day.
- Maintain store stock system integrity, including correct recording of waste and tasting quality.
- Maintain a safe and legal work environment for customers and colleagues.
- Complete the Date Expired Food (DEF) process, monitor hot food temperature, and sign DEF documentation relevant to the area.

Qualifications:
- High School Diploma (Bachelor’s Degree preferred).
- 4-5 years of experience in the food and beverage industry.
- Proven ability to achieve goals.
- Excellent communication and relationship skills.
