As a Room Management Associate, your primary responsibility is to ensure efficient and smooth operations within the Housekeeping department. You will be responsible for running sold room reports, verifying room status, identifying discrepant rooms, prioritizing room cleaning, and updating the status of departing guest rooms. Additionally, you will assist Housekeeping management in coordinating efforts with other departments such as Engineering, Front Office, and Laundry to ensure a seamless guest experience. Your attention to detail and ability to document and resolve issues with discrepant rooms will contribute to the overall satisfaction of our guests.
Key Responsibilities: Jobs Marriott International Ajman
- Run sold room reports and verify room status to determine the availability of clean and vacant rooms.
- Identify and prioritize discrepant rooms, ensuring prompt attention and resolution.
- Update the status of departing guest rooms and communicate the information to relevant departments.
- Act as a liaison between Housekeeping, Engineering, Front Office, and Laundry, coordinating efforts and ensuring effective communication.
- Collaborate with the Front Desk to document and resolve issues related to discrepant rooms.
- Prepare and distribute room assignments to Housekeeping staff, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
- Maintain a record of ‘Do Not Disturb’ rooms, monitoring and updating the list as needed.
- Ensure that vacant dirty rooms are cleaned within the designated time frame.
- Assign rush rooms and rooms previously on the ‘Do Not Disturb’ list, taking into consideration guest preferences and requests.
- Complete all required Housekeeping paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
Qualifications and Skills: Jobs Marriott International Ajman
- Familiarity with hotel operations and housekeeping procedures is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with different departments.
- Proficient in using computers to enter and locate work-related information.
- Ability to stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time and lift objects weighing up to 10 pounds without assistance.
- Adherence to company policies, safety guidelines, and confidentiality standards.
- Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to anticipate and address guests’ needs.
- Positive attitude and a team-oriented approach to work.
