About the Role
As a Safety Officer, you’ll be the cornerstone of our safety and compliance efforts. You’ll ensure that Mövenpick Hotels & Residences adheres to all safety regulations, creating a secure environment for our guests, employees, and contractors. From conducting inspections to leading training programs, your work will be essential to maintaining our reputation for excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure Compliance: Monitor and enforce compliance with Saudi safety laws, company policies, and industry standards. Conduct regular inspections to identify and address potential hazards.
- Risk Management: Identify, evaluate, and mitigate safety risks across the hotel premises. Implement corrective measures to ensure a safe environment.
- Safety Training: Develop and deliver engaging safety training programs for employees, covering topics like fire safety, evacuation procedures, and health regulations.
- Incident Management: Investigate accidents and near-miss events, prepare detailed reports, and recommend preventive measures to avoid future incidents.
- Emergency Planning: Assist in developing and implementing emergency evacuation and disaster recovery plans. Coordinate fire drills and first aid training.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate safety records, prepare reports, and ensure all certifications are up to date.
What We’re Looking For
- Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related field. Certifications like NEBOSH, IOSH, or OSHA are a plus.
- Experience: At least 2 years of experience as a Safety Officer, preferably in the hospitality industry or a similar environment. Experience in luxury hotels or large facilities is an advantage.
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and international best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and strong analytical abilities.
- Ability to train and motivate employees to prioritize safety.
- Proficiency in preparing detailed safety reports and documentation.
