We are looking for an experienced Waiter/Waitress (Luxury) to join our team in Qatar Airways. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional service to guests in one of Qatar Duty Free Luxury restaurants. You will be responsible for delivering positive guest interactions while serving guests in a friendly and efficient manner, making guests feel welcomed, comfortable, important and relaxed. Job Title: Waiter/Waitress (Luxury)

Location: Doha, Qatar

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare tables by laying out napkins and ensuring condiments are refilled as per the standard
• Welcome and assist customers on arrival, present menus, suggest dishes and take orders as per guest preference, assist in drink selection, inform customers about daily specials, offer desserts and drinks, serve food, clear chinaware and glassware, check guest satisfaction, and ensure sequence of service is followed
• Present receipts to guests upon request, accept payments and hand over to the cashier
• Assist with restaurant reservations by answering phone calls, confirming reservations to guests, and recording reservation details in the restaurant logbook
• Complete daily checklists at the beginning and end of the shift, ensuring all tasks are completed throughout the shift
• Perform basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed by the supervisor to ensure the restaurant is well maintained as per hygiene standards
• Collect comment cards from customers and hand them over to the supervisor/manager for attention and necessary actions
• Assist with special events as needed to support operational requirements
• Actively use up-selling techniques to exceed guest expectations and increase average spending per customer

Requirements:

• High school qualification, with a minimum of 2 years of job-related experience in food and beverage service within leading restaurants or hotels in the hospitality industry
• Computer literate
• Fluent in speaking and writing English
• Knowledge in HACCP
• Strong interpersonal skills – outgoing personality, positive attitude, and strong communication skills
• Ability to take responsibility, handle multiple tasks, prioritize and efficient
• Ability to react to challenges and operational incidents quickly
• Passion for food, beverage, and service
• Ability to stand for a long period of time
• Ability to work well in a team
• Ability to work shifts is essential
• Ability to work in a busy environment and able to work under pressure
