We are seeking a Sales Manager to join our team who will be responsible for maintaining high standards of customer satisfaction and service levels in the Sales department. Customers:
- Ensure customer satisfaction and meet their needs by showing empathy, care, and sensitivity towards diverse customers
- Provide high-quality customer service by initiating and developing effective working relationships with customers, establishing trust and confidence, and determining customers’ requirements to assist them with their orders
- Empower and encourage the team to take immediate action to meet customers’ needs and continuously improve the shopping experience
- Continuously collect feedback from customers and act based on their input
- Promote the IKEA store and lead by example in all customer interactions
Commercial:
- Spot and seize sales opportunities by suggesting alternative solutions to problems, offering add-on sales, and achieving established sales targets
- Suggest means of sales improvement to the supervisor, identify slow-moving or non-selling items and suggest sales actions
- Keep up to date with changes in the product range, new items, or changes in existing items, and inform the Sales Manager of any customer’s problems/comments on the product range or gaps in the range
- Maintain a fully displayed product range using merchandising methods as laid down by the company
- Remain aware of local market developments by being attentive to information given by customers, advertising and promotions in the media, and making scheduled market visits
Operations: IKEA Oman Hiring urgently
- Lead, inspire, and motivate the sales team to optimize sales and profits
- Ensure that the store is always in shape and implement the store’s commercial activities and business plan
- Define objectives and lead efforts to achieve these through continuous evaluation and follow-up
- Develop and implement commercial strategic plans based on business priorities and the local market
- Be a participant in and contribute to the Store Commercial team
Business Steering:
- Prepare the annual departmental budget and ensure that operating expenses are within the guidelines and objectives of the department
- Establish annual and monthly sales and profit objectives
People:
- Recruit the sales team based on the IKEA values in cooperation with the Human Resources (HR) department
- Develop and train the team to ensure they understand the IKEA Concept and other key guidelines and how they impact their specific roles
- Empower, support, and coach co-workers on the job to help them perform better and grow
- Actively develop successors to ensure that the store meets its succession needs
- Create an environment where the IKEA culture is a strong and living reality, diversity is valued, and the store is regarded as a great place to work
- Ensure that there is simple and straightforward internal communication and information flow and secure that key information is understood by all IKEA Sales co-workers
Qualifications: IKEA Oman Hiring urgently
- University degree
- 3-5 years’ experience in the Home Furnishings business with management experience
- Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Must be able to build working relationships
- Must be able to speak and understand English & Arabic
