We are currently looking for experienced ICU Nurses to join our project in Oman. Ideal candidates are those with energy, passion, and a desire for an exciting overseas career as part of a multidisciplinary team.

 

Role Summary Nurse vacancy in Oman Ministry of Health

 

The ICU Nurse will be a critical part of the medical team, responsible for administering intensive and high dependency care to seriously ill and injured patients.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Providing pre and post-operation care
  • Administering total patient care including taking vital signs, treating wounds, and setting and administering medication
  • Assisting physicians with procedures and treatments
  • Carefully assessing and monitoring patient vital signs and watching for changes in medical conditions that might require emergency intervention
  • Ensuring that ventilators, monitors, and other types of medical equipment function properly
  • Monitoring and administering medication and intravenous infusions
  • Maintaining patient clinical records
  • Managing stock within the ICU, including resupply requests

 

Qualifications

 

 

  • Academic nursing qualification with current registration/license to practice
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in the critical care field
  • Current ACLS/ALS certification

 

Key Skills

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proficiency in IT, including the use of electronic medical records systems
  • Fluency in English

Essential Capabilities

  • Ability to work calmly and effectively under high-stress conditions
  • Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team, with both clinical and non-clinical personnel

Additional Information

Rotations are typically 6 weeks on duty and 6 weeks off duty, depending on the project site. Flights, food, and accommodation are provided while on duty at the project site.
