As a Security Officer, your primary responsibility is to ensure a safe and secure environment for guests and members by actively patrolling, monitoring security procedures, and managing incidents of undesirable behavior. You will also be responsible for investigating thefts and supporting evacuation procedures. Your tasks will include: Qatar Police Jobs
- Monitoring and controlling staff entrances
- Conducting regular searches of staff bags and reporting any discrepancies or violations
- Controlling the procedure for items purchased, loaned, or obtained by staff
- Maintaining a system to monitor contractors in accordance with health and safety policies
- Checking goods received outside of regular hours
- Recording the issuance and receipt of departmental keys
- Operating, checking, and monitoring the CCTV system
- Regularly patrolling the hotel to ensure fire walks are conducted and recorded
- Ensuring safe transfer of cash within the hotel
- Assisting in the evacuation of the hotel during fire alarms
- Monitoring suspicious packages and following bomb and terror threat procedures
- Providing secure storage for guest oversized items
- Ensuring the security and locking of hotel facilities and function rooms when not in use
- Maintaining the Security Log Book and Incident Reports
- Investigating and reporting theft, criminal damage, and other incidents
- Managing undesirable behavior professionally and intervening in potential altercations
- Liaising with the police in the absence of the Security Team Leader
- Reporting any maintenance or hazard issues to the supervisor on duty
- Adhering to all Health and Safety Regulations
What we are looking for: Qatar Police Jobs
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications, behaviors, and skills:
- High school graduate or above
- Good physical condition
- At least two (2) years of law enforcement experience in a Security Bureau or military training
- Knowledge of fire procedures, disaster plan procedures, bomb threats, and hotel evacuation procedures
- Familiarity with local law and government regulations
- Absolute discretion and confidentiality regarding sensitive information
- SIA trained and licensed
- Positive attitude
- Good communication skills
- Good grooming standards
- Ability to remain calm and work under pressure during emergency situations
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
Preferred qualifications and distinctions:
- Previous experience in a customer service environment
- First Aid certification
- Knowledge of P.A.C.E. (Protective Actions for Chemical Emergencies)
- IT proficiency
