Position Summary: Maintenance Engineer Marriott
We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Engineer to join the team at Marriott Executive Apartments Manama Bahrain. In this role, you will be responsible for responding to and resolving guest repair requests efficiently. You will perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment, conduct inspections, and ensure the proper functioning of the property’s systems. Additionally, you will maintain an inventory of maintenance supplies and communicate effectively with other shifts to address any issues or concerns. Maintenance Engineer Marriott
Responsibilities: Maintenance Engineer Marriott
– Attend to guest repair requests promptly and effectively.
– Communicate with guests to understand and resolve maintenance issues independently.
– Perform preventive maintenance tasks on tools and equipment, including cleaning and lubrication.
– Visually inspect tools, equipment, and machines for any defects or malfunctions.
– Carry necessary equipment and tools during daily operations.
– Identify, locate, and operate all shut-off valves for equipment as needed.
– Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and requisition parts and supplies when required.
– Communicate daily activities and any issues to other shifts using approved communication programs and standards.
– Demonstrate advanced ability to read standard blueprints and electrical schematics related to plumbing and HVAC systems.
– Possess above-average skills in engineering operations and a strong mechanical aptitude.
– Display proficiency in at least three of the following categories: air conditioning and refrigeration, electrical systems, mechanical systems, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic systems and controls, carpentry and finishing skills, kitchen equipment, vehicles, energy conservation, and general building management.
– Demonstrate solid knowledge and skill in the safe use of hand and power tools.
– Safely perform complex repairs on the physical property, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical equipment, including air conditioners, refrigeration units, and pool heaters, ensuring compliance with company standards and local/national codes.
– Troubleshoot and repair various equipment and systems, such as pumps, motors, plumbing fixtures, electrical devices, air conditioners, HVAC equipment, cosmetic items, extension cords, vacuum cleaners, internet devices, electrical switches and outlets, and program TVs.
– Follow the Lockout/Tagout system before conducting any maintenance work.
– Possess advanced knowledge of engineering computer programs related to preventative maintenance, energy management, and other systems.
– Perform advanced troubleshooting of hotel Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems.
– Train and mentor other engineers as necessary.
– Perform Engineer on Duty responsibilities, including readings and rounds.
– Adhere to all company and safety policies and procedures, reporting any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries.
– Maintain a professional appearance and protect company assets, while ensuring guest satisfaction and maintaining confidentiality.
– Build positive working relationships with colleagues, support the team in achieving common goals, and address employee concerns effectively.
– Use clear and professional language when communicating with others.
– Lift, carry, push, pull, and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance, and perform heavier lifting or movement tasks with assistance.
– Move up and down stairs, service ramps, and ladders as necessary.
– Utilize computers to enter and locate work-related information.
– Perform any other reasonable job duties as requested.
