Role Overview: Nurses vacancy in Muscat
The Head of Nursing will ensure the highest possible standards of nursing practice, provide professional leadership to all nursing services, use nursing resources in a flexible, safe, and cost-efficient manner, and lead the design, implementation, and operation of the quality system for the hospital.
Key Responsibilities: Nurses vacancy in Muscat
- Provide professional leadership to all nursing departments.
- Act as a positive role model for less senior staff.
- Ensure high-quality patient care.
- Ensure effective communication and collaboration with medical staff regarding patient care and audits.
- Participate in Hospital Management Team, Medical Staff Committee, and other committees.
- Lead the commissioning activities.
- Ensure operational policies, procedures, protocols are in place and in use.
- Oversee nurse education programs.
- Ensure the allocation of staff supports patient comfort and safety while being cost-effective.
- Ensure all nursing records are fully maintained and the hospital information system is used optimally.
- Set and achieve annual budgets for all nursing departments.
- Develop and apply strategies for patient safety and risk management.
- Ensure ongoing accreditation of the hospital for JCI.
- Participate in clinical audits.
- Represent the hospital to external bodies and the community.
- Build an effective and motivated nursing team.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Registered nurse.
- Postgraduate qualification in management or a related area.
- At least 10 years of post-registration nursing experience.
- At least five years of experience as a Senior nurse in an acute hospital.
- Experience with hospital services commissioning.
- Understanding and implementation of HIS.
- Evidence of ongoing professional development.
