Position: Senior Accountant

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to oversee and control our general accounting operations, specifically focusing on verifying and managing clinical financial transactions. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for reconciling account balances, maintaining the general ledger, and executing month-end close procedures. The ideal candidate should possess excellent analytical skills, a thorough knowledge of accounting principles, and the ability to analyze financial reports and forecasts. Additionally, experience in collaborating with financial consultants and managing a small team is highly desirable.

Responsibilities: Sr. Accountant Wanted in Kuwait

1. Analyze financial information and provide summarized financial status reports.
2. Identify errors and suggest strategies to improve efficiency and spending.
3. Offer technical support and advice on management accounting.
4. Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures.
5. Manage a team of accounting assistants and bookkeepers.
6. Participate in financial standards setting and the forecast process.
7. Contribute to the department’s goal-setting process.
8. Prepare financial statements and develop budgets according to schedule.
9. Assist with tax audits and tax return preparations.
10. Oversee internal and external audits to ensure compliance.
11. Plan, assign, and review the work of staff.
12. Support the month-end and year-end close processes.
13. Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to strengthen internal controls.

Requirements and Skills: Sr. Accountant Wanted in Kuwait

1. Proven experience as a Financial Controller, Accounting Supervisor, Chief Accountant, or Senior Accountant.
2. Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures.
3. In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
4. Awareness of current business trends.
5. Familiarity with financial accounting statements.
6. Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.
7. Advanced MS Excel skills.
8. High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
9. Aptitude for numbers and strong quantitative skills.
10. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a relevant field.
